Gibsons A Tribute to our Finest by Trevor Mitchell Jigsaw Puzzle (1000 pieces)
A Tribute to our Finest by artist Trevor Mitchell is a high quality 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle by Gibsons.
Trevor Mitchell has painted A Tribute to our Finest to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF. The twelve images feature the many Air Force planes that have protected our country since WWI, including the Harrier Jump Jet and The Eurofighter Typhoon. The jigsaw also includes one of the first planes to be used by the RAF, the Bristol F.2 Fighter and later, the Gloster Meteor, which was the Allies' only jet aircraft to achieve combat operations during the Second World War. These aircraft, and the heroic pilots who flew them, made immeasurable contributions and turned the tides of two world wars over the course of hundreds of battles.
Trevor Mitchell left Bradford Art College in 1979 with a Diploma in Art and Design. He subsequently began his career as an art director at a London advertising agency. He returned to his native West Yorkshire a few years later and worked for several design studios and advertising agencies before going freelance in 1986. Commercial illustration work rekindled his love of painting and he was encouraged by finding a market for his work among the publishers of greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles, and art prints of his paintings are now sold worldwide. Trevor's paintings reflect his enthusiasm for steam and vintage vehicles and his fascination with recreating the past in pictures appears frequently in Gibsons’ range of nostalgic puzzles.
Gibsons are renowned for their jigsaw puzzles with carefully illustrated pieces which are made from the highest quality long-lasting 100% recycled board
